The withdrawal announcement is unexpected and unfair, deeply disappointed by the decision, ACB

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has reacted strongly to Cricket Australia (CA) withdrawing from the ODI series.

In a statement, the Afghan Cricket Board said that Cricket Australia's decision to withdraw from the series was "unexpected and unfair".

The Afghan board said it would write a formal letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC) over the matter, saying it was unfortunate that the move was an attempt to bring politics into the game.

The ACB said Cricket Australia had damaged the relationship between the two countries and the reputation of the game, and the decision would have a negative impact on the game in Afghanistan.

Threatening not to participate in the Australian League Big Bash, the Afghan Cricket Board said that if its decision is not changed, it will re-evaluate the participation of Afghan cricketers in the Big Bash League.

It should be noted that Australia has refused to play the ODI series against Afghanistan, justifying the restrictions on women by the Taliban.
